Background and Education

I joined the RVO staff in 2015 while finishing my Masters of Education at Grand Valley State University. At GVSU, I was a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer primarily working with women’s lacrosse and women’s volleyball. Prior to my graduate assistantship, I graduated from Upper Iowa University with my Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training and a minor in Psychology. While at Upper Iowa, I had the opportunity to work with softball, football, soccer, and baseball.  In addition, I was a member of the UIU Women’s Basketball team for four years, the Student Athlete Advisory Committee President, and a leader for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I am a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association (GLATA) and the Iowa Athletic Training Society. At RVO, I have the privilege of working with both Dr. Henne and Dr. Lenters. Through this work, I have developed a strong interest in sports medicine and both shoulder/knee joint replacements. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, coffee shops, and anything sport related.
