Kim J. Eastman, M.D.

Welcome to River Valley Orthopedics! I would like to take this opportunity to share with you some information about myself and my experiences in healthcare. I was born and raised in Michigan, attended Kalamazoo College and graduated from Michigan State University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1979 I received my medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Michigan. After medical school I completed a 5 year residency program in Grand Rapids. I have been in practice in Grand Rapids since 1984; in 1997 the group I was practicing with merged with River Valley Orthopedics. In addition to my surgical practice, I am an assistant clinical professor of Orthopedic Surgery in Grand Rapids for the Michigan State University Medical School Surgery Department.

The major emphasis of my practice has been artificial joints of the knee, hip and shoulder. I am one of the first surgeons in Grand Rapids to perform computer assisted total joint surgery. Arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder and sports medicine are my other areas of expertise. I take pride in being able to provide state-of-the-art, proven procedures to restore you to a more productive life. It is my mission to provide you excellent service, as well as excellent care. I always strive to provide you the same high-quality orthopedic care I would offer to a family member.

When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family, playing tennis, basketball, mountain biking, swimming and windsurfing.
