Kevin R. Kane, M.D.

Welcome to River Valley Orthopedics! I would like to take this opportunity to share with you some information about myself and my experience in healthcare. Born and raised in Muskegon, Michigan, I attended Kalamazoo College where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1984. I received my medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School, where I graduated Cum Laude in 1988. I then completed a 5 year orthopaedic surgery residency program here in Grand Rapids and then a 1 year total joint fellowship at the University of Utah. I have been with River Valley Orthopedics since 1994. In addition, I’m also an assistant clinical professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Department of Surgery and an instructor for the Grand Rapid Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program.
As a board certified orthopedic surgeon, my work is dedicated to the treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system (the bones and joints of your body). A large part of my practice is devoted to treatment of the hip or knees. This includes joint replacement or arthroscopic surgery. It’s my mission to provide you with excellent care and service. I always strive to provide you the same high-quality orthopedic care that I would offer to a family member.
In addition to my clinical duties, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and other activities such as woodworking and involvement with the Boy Scouts.
