Tim Lenters, M.D.

Welcome to River Valley Orthopedics! I would like to take this opportunity to share with you some information about myself and my experiences in healthcare. Born in Phoenix, AZ and raised in Chicago, IL. I graduated from Calvin College in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree. I received my medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL in 1999. I then completed a 5 year residency program here in Grand Rapids followed by a 1 year shoulder & elbow fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. I have been with River Valley Orthopedics since 2005.
As an orthopedic surgeon, my work is dedicated to the treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system (the bones and joints of your body). I specialize in the treatment of the shoulder and elbow. The frequency and impact of injuries in these areas combined with recent advances in their diagnosis and treatment are why I chose orthopedic medicine as a profession. I take pride in being able to provide state-of-the-art, proven procedures to restore you to a more productive life. It is my mission to provide you excellent service, as well as excellent care. I always strive to provide you the same high-quality orthopedic care I would offer to a family member.
In addition, I enjoy golf, basketball, reading and spending time with my wife and twins.
