James M. Pouillon, D.P.M.
Cool fact about Dr. James Pouillon: He volunteered as a Special Olympics skiing and sailing instructor.

Dr. Pouillon is a podiatrist, meaning he specialized in treating all problems related to the foot. He joined the United States Navy following his residency and provided care to active duty members of the Department of Defense in Newport, Rhode Island. This is where he became involved as a volunteer with the Special Olympics, which he considers one of his most rewarding life experiences. Dr. Pouillon enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy, a pharmacist, and sons Luke and Jack, born in 2006 and 2009. He also enjoys running, sailing and hunting in his “spare” time.

Note from Dr. Pouillon

You can see from my profile that I, like my colleagues, have a great connection with my work. From my college track and cross-country days, to the recreational running I do today, there is no more fascinating structure than the foot!

Perhaps since my own hobbies call for constant use of the feet, my immediate thoughts as I interact with my patients and the many conditions and problems they face are empathetic. “How can we overcome this? What are the best options?”

I look forward to meeting you and seeking the best options to have you back “on your feet.”
